What is recorded here

Ten yards of round-roofed stone, low at the mouth and taller inside, still lay hidden on Con Donoghue's farm in Rusheenmore when it was described in the 1940s. The passage narrowed again toward a big hole, as if making a person crawl through before showing them the dark end. It may have been a shelter, a toy of the earth, or a forgotten road under the field.

In the 1940s, a Man-made underground passage (L 10 yds [9.14m]) was recorded in 'an old fort' (KE075-022----) in 'Con Donoghue's farm' (Schools Manuscript, Co. Kerry). It was 'about 300 yards [274m] from the house' and was 'round roofed paved with stones on each side' being very low at the entrance, increasing in height as it extended inwards and decreasing in height again 'in farther' where a 'big hole' was visible (Schools Manuscript, Co.
