Rosnacartan Beg in County Kerry, Ireland, hid a man-made underground passage linking two raths during the 1940s. The tunnel crossed from Mr Mack's land to Mr Clifford's fort, offering a secret route between ancient defences. Both raths are now levelled, erasing the markers that once proved the passage existed. The earth kept the claim alive while human carelessness deleted the evidence.

In the 1940s, 'a cave and underground passage' were recorded in Rosnacartan Beg which were said to connect two raths, one on Mr Mack's land and the other (KE057-089----) on Mr Clifford's land (ITA). Though Mr Mack's rath was described as a 'semi-circular one-bank fort', it cannot be established which of two raths (KE057-091----, KE057-092----) in the townalnd it is as both are now levelled.
