What is recorded here
Rosnacartan Beg held a hidden chamber and passage inside its ancient circular walls during the 1940s, now vanished without a trace. The loss transforms the site into a breathing mystery, perhaps swallowing its own history or releasing it back into the earth. What remains is the shape of absence, a hollow where human ingenuity disappeared.
In the 1940s, a 'cave and an underground passage' were recorded in the large trivallate circular rath (KE057-089----) on Mr. Clifford's lands (ITA). There are no visible remains of this possible Man-made underground passage.
