Man-made underground passage in Oldbridge

The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 10 July 2007 Z-shaped Man-made underground passage with drystone-built, corbelled passages (total revealed L 15.8m). Passage ends in beehive chamber (diam. 2.70m, H 1.6m). Second passage (L 1.85m) runs E from main passage and terminates in beehive chamber (diam. 2.5m, H 1.7m).
