What is recorded here
A 'cave' was discovered in the centre of the site when it was being cemented over (local information). No apparent surface trace of this possible Man-made underground passage (KE089-064001-) survives.
The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Sheehan (compilers), 'The Iveragh peninsula: an archaeological survey of South Kerry'. Cork University Press (1996), no. 587. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
