Cave (Site of)

The opening to a Man-made underground passage (KE090-003----), .6m x .75m, is located on the NW face of the hillock. It leads into a drystone-built passage, aligned E-W, which is roofed with lintels. The W end of the passage appears to have collapsed. Local information records a second opening, now closed up, on the SE side of the hillock. This may indicate that a second Man-made underground passage passage is aligned at right angles to the first. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
