Man-made underground passage in Moneygaff West

Discovered in 1981. Two earth-cut chambers: one square in plan, the other oval. Chamber 1: L 3m; Wth 2.8m; H 0.95m. Chamber 2: L 3m; Wth 1.8m; H 0.9m. Chamber 2 has construction shaft in N wall and possible air vent in E wall. (Cleary 1981, 39-40). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
