What is recorded here

No visible entrance or tunnel chamber is recorded. The claim is that people dug a passage inside the ancient earthworks, not that nature made one. That much is clear. What is missing is the shape, extent and purpose of the work. A hidden passage may have served a house, a boundary, a refuge or a joke. Without a seen opening or recovered structure, the answer must leave that uncertainty untouched.
