Lisnagree is no longer visible because a machine erased the ringfort around 2006, yet the hidden passage and its chamber may still lie beneath the new soil. In 1946 the Co. Kerry Field Club found a large oblong foundation and a blocked opening in the western sector, proving that the site contained more than an ordinary farm boundary. The sea remains close enough to hear, but the entrance has vanished into the plain. What was built there, who closed it and whether the chamber still holds its shape are no longer questions for measurement; they are questions for imagination.

Situated on the level coastal plain that borders Tralee Bay, c. 275m from the seashore, ringfort KE036-011---- was levelled c. 10 years ago and only a barely discernible raised area now marks its location. When visited by the Co. Kerry Field Club (1946, 672), an oblong foundation, 35 feet (10.6m) x 20 feet (6m), occupied the centre of the enclosure and in the W sector there was a blocked up opening to a Man-made underground passage.
