What is recorded here

No cave is left to find. The chamber is gone, the entrance is gone, and the forgers have taken the shape of the victim. They dug through the rath, removed the difference between inside and outside, and left a smooth hole in the ground. What is missing is not a gap in the story. The absence is the shape of the story.

On a rise in grassland. Very poorly preserved roughly circular rath (D c. 24m) defined by a bank which survives from S to W. A scarp forms the enclosing element at SE; elsewhere quarrying has encroached upon the monument. According to local information, there was a 'cave' (possible Man-made underground passage) within the interior, no visible surface trace of which survives.
