Man-made underground passage in Letternadarriv

This collapsed and flooded Man-made underground passage, not marked on the OS maps, is located on top of a rise in boggy pasture on the E side of the Ardsheelhane river valley. Its location has been fenced-off due to its dangerous condition. There are two openings, 3.6m apart, both the result of collapsed roofing slabs. These allow viewing of a lintelled passage with sides of earth, which is aligned E-W before curving to SE. Blocked at both ends by collapse, the passage averages .8m wide and is up to .6m high.
