Man-made underground passage in Laralae

Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

Located in a rath (MA082-026001-). According to local information, this Man-made underground passage was closed up in modern era; it consists of a short, stone-lined entrance leading into a chamber (c. 1.8m x 1.8m; c. 1.2m high), with an opening off the chamber to another, blocked passage. A shallow, stony depression (5.3m E–W; 2.2m N–S) in a spine of raised ground that extends E–W through the centre of the rath may indicate the location of the Man-made underground passage.
