Knockskagh holds a man-made underground passage inside a ringfort, yet no surface trace remains for modern eyes to follow. Webster mentioned the passage in 1924, preserving a hint of what the earth swallowed. People may have dug it for storage, escape or ritual, but the soil has taken back the entrance and the purpose.
