The underground passage in Kiltamagh, County Mayo, is a forgotten chamber hidden beneath a rath. A large horizontal slab still marks the roof, slightly displaced but clear enough to show that people built the space on purpose. The ground dips a little to the south, suggesting the passage continues below the grass. Whatever it stored or protected has vanished, leaving only a shadow in the earth and a slab waiting to be remembered.

Located in a rath (MA080-031----). A large horizontal slab protrudes slightly from the sod roughly in the centre of the rath interior. This is a roof lintel, possibly slightly displaced, covering a blocked up Man-made underground passage.
