What is recorded here

According to local information, there is a tradition of an underground tunnel outside the N bank of the rath (CO124-074001-). An opening was visible there in the recent past. The area is now densely overgrown with briars and furze bushes and it was not possible to establish if the opening still exists. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
