Kilblaffer still hides a chambered passage between two ringforts, perhaps a basement kitchen or a seasonal shelter for people who refused to leave the land empty. Hennessy’s farm may have swallowed the entrance, yet the idea of little rooms and fireplaces beneath ordinary soil suggests human hands shaped the dark long before modern wheels rolled past.

Hartnett (1939, 234) recorded a possible Man-made underground passage 'having little rooms and fireplaces' on Mr. Hennessy's farm between two ringforts (8371 and 8372). Exact location not known.
