Isertkelly North holds a rath where a central collapse, barely larger than a outstretched arm, hints at a buried passage. The earth has swallowed the entrance, but the shape remains: a dark mouth waiting for breath. Whatever lived beneath that soil is gone, yet the hole preserves the fact that someone dug through it.

Within a rath (GA114-095----). Centrally located within the interior an area of collapse (L c. 1.3m; Wth 0.8m) may indicate the presence of a possible Man-made underground passage. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 5 January 2018
