Man-made underground passage in Inchinapallas

In pasture, to S of road. Discovered in 1975 during excavations for building. Investigated by C.J.F. McCarthy who described single stone-built beehive chamber (diam. 3.35m ; H 2.43m) with two passages leading from it; site closed shortly after discovery (McCarthy 1977, 259). No visible surface trace. Second Man-made underground passage (CO035-076---) c. 20m distant. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
