No visible stones remain of the underground passage within the E sector of a rath in Gortymadden, County Galway, Ireland. An L-shaped depression stretches more than 27 metres across the ground, its longer arm running west-northwest to east-southeast and its shorter arm bending northeast-southwest from the western end. Whatever hands dug it or whatever carts rumbled through it have vanished, leaving only a shallow angle in the earth and a question about what was hidden beneath the rath.

Within the E sector of a rath (GA106-082001-). An L-shaped depression (L >27m) may mark the site of a Man-made underground passage. The longer axis (L 18.2m: D 0.8m) runs WNW-ESE and the shorter axis (L 8.9m) extends off its WNW end and runs NE-SW. No stonework is visible.
