What is recorded here

No one knows who dug the passage or when, but the stone marker still stands inside the ancient fort. A plough struck the stone years ago, broke the seal, and dropped a rope into black water. The hole was filled again before dawn. The fort kept its secret, waiting for the next careless blade to ask what it hides.

In ringfort (CO052-02501-). According to local information, a large stone was uncovered during ploughing which revealed a cavity underneath. No visible surface trace.
