Clearfield Bay, Kilshannig Parish: An underground passage in a levelled ringfort. Bowman located the site outside the rampart in 1934, but the land has changed and no trace remains visible. What is left is a absent shape, a hole in the field where a made passage once went down.

In levelled ringfort (CO041-02001-). According to Bowman (1934, 542), 'site of Man-made underground passage on outside of rampart'. Ringfort levelled; no visible surface trace of Man-made underground passage. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
