Under Glannagalt, a field in County Kerry, a plough once bit through topsoil and revealed a ring of dark earth with a small cave hidden inside. That sudden exposure suggested a forgotten ringfort and an underground passage, perhaps cut by human hands long before the land became ordinary farmland. The discovery turned a quiet acre into a threshold, inviting wonder about the people who dug, entered, and disappeared beneath the soil.

A 'ring of dark soil' was revealed when this field was ploughed and a small 'cave' was discovered within it (local information). It is possible that these were the remains of a ringfort (KE036-061----) and Man-made underground passage (KE036-061001-). The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne.
