Man-made underground passage in Glandahalin East

Situated on a rise, this site has an excellent view of the surrounding land. KE014-003---- lies SE of St Dahalin's Church (KE014-001----) and Tobernasool holy well (KE014-002----). It does not appear on the 1842 OS map, but is marked on the later edition and 'cave' is marked in the interior. This univallate rath is now much levelled. In the centre of this rath is a circular mound, 3.6m N-S and c1m high, and this possibly marks the Man-made underground passage (KE014-003001-). The above description is derived from C.
