Man-made underground passage in Fox's Castle

Located on a W-facing slope on the E bank of the N-S River Tay and described as being c. 300m SSW of the castle site (WA024-043----). A Man-made underground passage was investigated in 1934 by L. Mongey (1934) when an oval chamber (dims. c. 4.36m x c. 2.4m) with a passage (L c. 3m) was uncovered. Many of the lintels were lying in the passage, including one stone with an ogham inscription (WA024-080003-). The exact location of the Man-made underground passage is now unknown.
