Fahalea is a hidden underground passage beside a ringfort in County Cork. O'Leary wrote in 1918 that two passages touched the lios and that one had been opened, yet no trace remains above ground. The earth keeps its secret, waiting for someone brave enough to listen for breathing stone.

In ringfort (CO099-00401-). O'Leary (1918, 124) records 'two Man-made underground passages connected with the lios, one of which has been opened'. No visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
