What is recorded here

Dromgower hides a man-made underground passage inside a circular rath marked on maps since 1842. The entry is lost beneath overgrowth, but the chamber may still hold breath, echo and darkness beneath the grass. What hands dug it, and what did they keep from the rain?

Univallate rath KE014-066---- is marked on the 1842 and 1916 OS maps. 'Caves' (KE014-066001-) is marked in the interior. The site would appear to consist of a circular area enclosed by a bank and fosse. However, this site is completely overgrown and inaccessible. The above description is derived from C.
