What is recorded here

That is the Derrygorman chamber, hidden beneath a circular rath beside the Owenascaul river. People built the passage and entrance, but soil and time erased the marks. The chamber may still exist under the grass, waiting for someone brave enough to dig.

Roughly circular univallate rath KE045-047001- is situated at the SE edge of a tract of level land which lies between the Owenascaul river and one of its tributaries. T The Man-made underground passage KE045-047002- was located in the centre of the enclosure (Ashe 1954, 10) but is no longer visible. The above description is derived from J.
