What is recorded here

Culleen holds an L-shaped underground passage inside a ringfort, its long arm stretching 11.5 metres north-south before bending east-west for 9.3 metres. People likely dug it to hide, store belongings or escape danger, then filled it with stone when the arrangement changed. The shape still marks the place where human hands cut through earth and changed the life of the townland.

Within a ringfort (GA043-069----). This Man-made underground passage is indicated by an L-shaped stone-filled depression. The long arm (L 11.5m) runs N-S, while the shorter arm (L 9.3m) extends off this at NE end and runs WSW-ENE.
