What is recorded here
In a rath (CO114-072001-), close to the inner face of the enclosing bank. A trench (L 3m), densely covered with overgrowth, leads through the bank to a lintelled NW-facing opening (Wth 1.1m; H 0.5m). The lintels rest on earthen side-walls. The opening leads down into a passage (L 2m) which is blocked at its far end. A large stone on the bank of the rath, to the NW of the opening, may be a displaced lintel.
