Man-made underground passage in Corbally South (barrymore By., Lisgoold Par.)

Corbally South holds a man-made underground passage inside a ringfort, remembered locally as a cave though no entrance remains visible. The passage may have served as storage, refuge or ritual space for the people who built the ringfort, and its disappearance from sight does not remove it from the land. It still occupies the earth beneath Corbally South, waiting for someone careful enough to listen for the shape of what is absent.
