No visible trace remains above ground, but a man-made underground passage once cut through the levelled cliff-edge fort in Corbally before being closed. Bowman recorded its discovery around 1919, leaving behind a hidden chamber that defies the empty surface. The passage may have served the fort's defenders, yet its closure erased the very route that proved the chamber existed.

In cliff-edge fort (CO023-02801-). Bowman (1934, 416) mentioned that 'about 15 years ago, a Man-made underground passage was discovered within the levelled fort. This has now been closed'.
