Man-made underground passage in Coill Bhaile Uí Fhlaithimh

In 1950 the Co. Kerry Field Club recorded a clochaun at this location and 'in the near vicinity ... entrances suggesting crawl passages to Man-made underground passages'. The clochaun is, in reality, a roughly constructed sheep-fold, and there are no visible indications of any Man-made underground passages nearby. This is a steep, rocky mountain slope below and N of Lough Acummeen; it is possible that the features noted were natural caverns created by overhanging rocks and boulders.
