Man-made underground passage in Clashygowan

In 1956 a Man-made underground passage was reported here (NMI). It was about 14ft long × 4ft deep × 3ft wide. Halfway along, the passage narrowed to about 2ft 2in and then widened again. It was built of stone and the report suggests that there were indications of other such structures possibly other chambers, on the site also. An inscribed slab (DG055-025002-) now in private possession was said to have been found in the Man-made underground passage.
