Man-made underground passage in Carrignamaddry

Carrignamaddry holds a man-made underground passage west of its ringfort, now hidden beneath an overgrown hollow. The collapse may have swallowed the tunnel, but the hollow still marks the place where human hands cut through earth. People may have walked that dark passage to trade, hide or leave goods behind the fort wall. The soil has taken the roof back, yet the shape remains a wound in the ground, waiting for someone to remember what it carried.
