What is recorded here

Carrigeencullia holds a man-made underground passage within a rath, marked only by a prostrate stone lying flat in the centre. The stone may be a marker for a hidden entrance rather than a discarded fragment, suggesting people once cut through solid earth to create a chamber beneath the mound. That much work implies the passage served a purpose important enough to bury, protect or hide from ordinary sight.
