What is recorded here

No visible structure remains, only a shallow rectangular hollow inside the rath at Carra. The passage may have disappeared long ago, swallowed by soil or forgotten by the people who first cut it. What is left is a shadow of shape, wide enough to walk through and deep enough to hide.
Within the W sector of the interior of a rath (GA098-061----). A roughly rectangular but shallow hollow (L 11.8m; Wth 3.9m max.) may mark the site of a Man-made underground passage. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 19 February 2019
