Man-made underground passage in Cahernabrock

In a cashel (MA123-018001-). In the NW quadrant of the cashel, just W of centre, three shallow surface depressions, largely infilled with field stones, may indicate a collapsed Man-made underground passage. A 1979 report records a short length of a lintelled stone drain or possibly a Man-made underground passage vent (Wth 0.5m; H 0.25m), which was exposed during clearance works close to the external slope of the cashel wall at SE; this was no longer visible during an inspection in 1999.
