Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

No trace of Man-made underground passage (KE028-003001-) could be identified inside cashel (KE028-003----). Man-made underground passage described in 1991 as follows; 'It is covered with briars and reasonably accessible. it has a corbelled circular chamber with a wall recess and a possible creepway into it. The terrain is of weathered loose limestone and limestone outcrop with a very thin covering of soil and a steep aspect. It has recently been 'cleaned' up by a bulldozer and no evidence of a cashel is visible now' (SMR File 28/02/1991). Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 26 April 2022
