Man-made underground passage in Barroe (costello By.)

Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

Barroe holds a man-made underground passage inside its ringfort, now blocked and vanished from sight. Local tradition credits people with building the dry-stone tunnel, then closing the entrance rather than abandoning the work. The cachel keeps that hidden room intact, waiting for someone to remember the shape of the opening.
