Barleymount East holds a lost passage inside an ancient rath. A man-made tunnel crossed the western half, hidden beneath a stone cover until people filled it with earth. It vanished without a trace, leaving only memory and the shape of the mound to suggest that the ground once opened into darkness.

In a rath (KE058-059----). The landowner recalls a Man-made underground passage, which was covered with a stone, in the W half of the rath.
