Man-made underground passage in Ballyvisteale

Power (1917, 22) states 'within "the stone field" was a Man-made underground passage, now closed up, which connected with a lios now prostrate' (CO064-058001-). No visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 2: East and South Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1994).
