No visible entrance exists at Ballydonnellan, though a hidden chamber may still hold its shape beneath the soil. The missing passage could belong to a house, a boundary marker or a forgotten ritual path. What is absent is not nothing; it is the part that resisted photography. The region already contains chambers, caves and buried structures that surprise people who assume emptiness. The real clue is the failed search. An ordinary place may be hiding an unusual chamber because no one has looked beneath the surface with the right tools.

Within W half of ringfort (GA056-013----). A trapezoidal drystone-built chamber (L 3.2m), running E-W, narrowing towards W end. Present access is through a breach at E end. A line of stones (L 2m) running further E, from E end, suggests that the Man-made underground passage originally extended further in this direction.
