Under the forgotten fort on the Glenfinn knoll, hidden tunnels still breathe beneath the grass. Built by human hands in an age when visibility mattered more than comfort, they vanished from modern sight but remain alive in local memory. The valley dropped away beside them, wide and bright, while the diggers worked below the land they claimed.

There is now no trace of the 'Fort' (DG068-024) shown on the 1st and 2nd editions of the OS 6-inch maps. A local tradition records the existence of 'Tunnels' at this site. It was situated on a knoll on the side of Glenfinn valley in good land with good views. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
