What is recorded here

No visible surface trace, only a passed-down belief that a passage cuts through the northern half of the ringfort. The claim appears in the published Archaeological Inventory of County Cork, Volume 1: West Cork, issued by the Stationery Office in Dublin in 1992. The absence of proof is the strange part: a whole chamber may exist beneath ordinary ground, waiting for someone stubborn enough to dig.
