KE044-047---- is located on a S facing slope at the head of a small valley, about 250m E of KE044-046----.
Ashe noted a Man-made underground passage in the interior. A low, L-shaped bank in the NE sector may be related to this, and a 2nd raised area between the latter and the ringfort bank may mark a hut-site. However, neither feature can be interpreted with certainty.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 347. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
