Why this matters

Mam Tor rises to approximately 518 metres and is known for its distinctive tor, a rocky outcrop formed from gritstone. It is part of the Peak District's Dark Peak landscape and is associated with local folklore, including tales of a ghostly coach. The hill is a popular hiking destination and a key landmark in the area.
