Maghera Caves are a group of 13 sea caves cut into the coast beside Maghera Strand. One is known as Uaimh a' nDaoine, the Cave of the People. Local stories tied to the caves include a killing said to have happened during the time of the Black and Tans, and a tale of a man and dog entering a cave: the dog returned at Port, but the man did not.

The Maghera Caves were formed by wave action eroding the soft sandstone and limestone cliffs along the coast. The caves have local folklore associated with them, including a story of a killing that allegedly occurred in one of the caves, known as Uaimh a' nDaoine.

The caves are affected by the tide and falling rock. Check the tide and local safety advice before approaching them.
