What is recorded here
Macfarquhar's Bed is a sea cliff composed of sedimentary rock, likely of Carboniferous or Devonian age. It formed through the deposition and lithification of marine sediments, later exposed by coastal erosion; it is notable for its geological continuity with other formations in the Scottish Highlands.
