Lundie Craigs is a sea cliff composed primarily of Old Red Sandstone, formed during the Devonian period around 400 to 360 million years ago. The cliff is notable for its exposure of sedimentary rock layers, which provide insight into ancient river and delta systems that once existed in the area.
