Single-arch road bridge over river, 1814. Coursed squared limestone walls and abutments. Segmental arch with slender ashlar voussoirs and double keystone. Cast-iron balusters to parapet with stone coping.
A distinctive, elegant road bridge with robust detailing. Prominently sited crossing the Liffey, the bridge is evidence of the major technical achievements of the early nineteenth century.
